Multi Met reiterates commitment to data privacy and compliance in its corporate policy

Multi Met Trading (MMT) has published a comprehensive data protection policy, signalling a robust commitment to safeguarding privacy rights of its customers, employees, contractors, partners, and other stakeholders in full alignment with laws of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The Abu Dhabi-headquartered company has also voiced an unyielding commitment to international best practices in data integrity and confidentiality.

At the core of this framework is a new governance structure, featuring a cross-functional Data Protection Committee (DPC) and a dedicated Data Protection Officer (DPO). They are tasked with overseeing compliance, managing risk assessments, and spearheading incident responses.

The key pillars of the policy include legal transparency, operational security, protection of stakeholder rights, and third-party oversight, all contributing to the continuous improvement in data protection.

MMT has also emphasized a culture of “security by design,” while training all employees on how to identify and immediately report suspected data breaches through designated internal channels (DPO/DPC).
